  1. In fact, you can. The UK laws see BDSM as violence, regardless of whether the person who suffered harm consented to the act. It can be seen as assault or aggravated assault and punished in accordance with the laws on this form of criminal behavior. This is rather ironic, since the UK is well-known for its BDSM scene, but due to it being in discord with the law, there are no large-scale BDSM conventions of the kind you may find in such countries like Germany. What you do in the privacy of your own bedroom or playroom is no one’s business, but keep in mind that if the word gets out or your former or current partner or anyone else decides to report your behavior, you may face criminal charges and likely be convicted.
