You can sign a contract if you want, there are even some sample contracts you can find, but you have to understand that these documents only serve for reference as to what you and your partner will or won’t do, the so-called soft limits and hard limits. That’s what the contracts are for and they are actually quite useful in that domain. But those who expect a contract between a Master and a slave to be binding for either of them are gravely mistaken. So if someone is threatening you with legal repercussions based on your “contract”, you can tell them to sod off and walk away.

  3. BDSM contracts are more of a prop, really. Part of the play and part of the fantasy. The contracts are supposedly to be used in M/s relationships, and some couples even use them, write them up in ink, but everyone involved is well aware the contract is by no means legally binding.

  5. A BDSM contract is just for fun. Many people find it hot to sign a contract that says you will surrender your body and mind to another being. It feels more “real” when you sign a contract even though the document itself is absolutely ridiculous.
