  1. People who do not find BDSM appealing are often prone to prejudice and believe that there must be something wrong with an individual who enjoys this type of erotic stimulation. The truth is that people who are open to such experiences are not afraid to explore their sexuality and try something that is out of the ordinary. The reasons for being drawn to BDSM are multiple and immensely varied. They may stem from people’s personality traits, which can make them generally submissive or dominant. Naturally, this can reflect on their sexual preferences. Whether or not we like to admit it, we all have some fantasies that may be wild and exotic and completely different from the activities that take place in our bedrooms. Being interested in BDSM does not necessarily mean that a person is going to engage in such activities. It may just be a matter of curiosity, a desire to explore different forms of excitement. Generally speaking, it is in the human nature to be drawn to things that are unknown, extraordinary or perceived as forbidden. Quite often, BDSM is seen as interesting because it is different, exciting, playful, empowering or simply because it represents a new way to be intimate with your partner and spice up your sex life. There is no universal answer to the question of why people may be drawn to BDSM, especially since it is such a broad term, but it should be noted that there is nothing unnatural about it. Our sexual tastes are just as complex and mysterious as our minds, representing a reflection of both our personality and the vividness of our imagination.
